How much record I feel I need usually drives this decision. A standard 64gb SD Card will usually provide 8-12 days of video on a 4 camera system. A 500gb HDD will provide 2-3 months of video. We most recommend a HDD when using 5-8 cameras or when approx. 2 weeks of video storage for a 4 camera system isn’t considered enough.

What is the SD card capacity that can be used on the NOVA DVRs?

There is no limit of the SD card capacity. All Fortress Nova DVRs support SDXC, which means they support all SD comply to SDXC. Please consult with the SD manufacture or Fortress IT staff to make sure the SD card meet the application requirement.

Is it easy save pictures or clips and send them to others in the district?

Saving still images or video clips is fairly simple. Our viewer is very Windows friendly and pointing and clicking makes it easy to capture and save. Matter of fact, we have a camera icon in the middle of the viewer and all the user has to do is click on the camera and the still image is created and then the user just has to designate where they are saving it.Sending clips or images to others is also very easy. When possible images and clips can be emailed, Dropboxed, Google drive sent or use the Network folders to share desired segments.

How easy is it to blur images of the students?

Blurring stills or video has never been easier than it is now. The user would go to the TOOLS listing at the top of the viewer and select “Start Privacy Mask” then go to the video or still image they want to blur and with the left mouse button pressed just roll the cursor over the top of face/image releasing the mouse button when done and the blur will be in effect.

How does wifi in the yard work?

Vehicles that are Wi-Fi equipped will automatically download vide0/audio files that are marked via the Event Marker. This process will start when the vehicle enters the Wifi network. The Wireless Network can be configure for a single bus lot or multiple bus lot with multiple access points.

What are the benefits?

The main benefit of wifi downloads is that EVENT MARKED video will automated be downloaded to the ADS once the bus is within range of the access points positioned in the bus yard. Also, while the dvr is still on the user has access to the hard drive for other troubleshooting or viewing tasks.

Real-Time GPS Tracking

How does the SureBus live GPS vehicle tracking system work?

We manufacture and install our own GPS tracking system into the bus. Our products will accept all the major SIM card carrier company, like AT&T, T-mobile, Verizon and etc. The device will catch all the bus geographic information and send it out through our Modem Router to our cloud system (SureBus.com). After the fleet administrator logged in, they can have all the information which includes the vehicles’ GPS info online.

What are the benefits of live tracking my buses?

  • Arrival notification for parent, save their time and efforts too
  • Life-view video surveillance of both video and audio
  • Smart report generation, including route report, stop-arm violation report, engine report, vehicle speed report, etc.
  • Vehicle health monitoring, prevent the issue rather than fix it
